Nike
Air technology consists of pressurized air inside a tough, yet flexible bag.
The Air Sole units are located in the midsole beneath the heel, forefoot or in
both areas.
The
Air Sole units in Nike Air shoes compress to reduce the force of impact. The
Air Soles then immediately recover to original shape and volume, ready for the
next impact.
NIKE AIR BENEFITS
·
Lightweight:
Swapping heavier midsole materials for Nike Air cushioning reduces the weight
of the shoe without reducing performance. This is important because the lighter
the shoe is, the less energy the athlete must expend during performance.
·
Versatile:
Different athletes require different performance characteristics. Nike Air
cushioning is designed to meet the exact specifications of athletic
performance.
·
Cushioning: As
the foot strikes the ground, Nike Air cushioning “gives” or absorbs impact
forces and allows muscles, joints and tendons to be protected. The Nike Air
cushioning will immediately return to its original shape to protect
the body against the next impact force. As a result, the athlete protects the
body against fatigue and stress.
·
Durable:
Durability is important because athletes need the cushioning to last. Nike Air
is designed to provide cushioning throughout the life of the shoes.
